Pianist Composer Educator
William Fowler, better known as Chuk Fowler, is the driving force behind the dynamic music of HIGHER ENERGY. His extensive musical career has taken him on tours throughout France, England, Spain, Germany, Italy, as well
as Japan and the United States. Mr. Fowler's experience as an educator parallels his artistry as a performer. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education at Queens College, New York City, he was awarded a Noble Fellowship with which he earned a Masters Degree in Liberal Arts from St. John's College in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
He served as Director of Special Programs for the Third Street Music Settlement of New York as well as Director of the Henry Street Settlement Music School where he supervised administration, staff and curriculum development. As an educator/administrator for the New York City School System for over twenty-five years, Mr. Fowler teaches students about the development of life skills and Ethics through Music. While he regularly performs with his ensemble, HIGHER ENERGY, at social, cultural, and commercial engagements throughout the country, Mr. Fowler also facilitates self-discovery workshops for adolescents and adults entitled, "Personal Power Through Creativity" and "Mediation: A Practical Approach".
In summing up his vision, Mr. Fowler states, "Aligned with the advent of the New Millennium, it is auspicious for human kind to advance harmoniously, wherein the dissonance of man-created barriers are dissolved."
